5 Nava Linga Arunachaleshwara Temple

The main temple of Lord Arunachaleswara is surrounded by eight lingams, each installed at one of the four cardinal points (North, East, South & West) and four inter cardinal points (North East, North West, South East and South West). The guardians of the four cardinal points are called ‘Lokapalas’ and together with the guardians of the inter cardinal points, the eight deities are called ‘Ashta Lokapalas’.

The names of the Ashtalingams are:

• Indra Lingam (East) – Rishabam, Thulam Rasi
• Agni Lingam (South East) – Simha Rasi
• Yama (Ema) Lingam (South) – Viruchigam Rasi
• Niruthi Lingam (South West) – Mesham Rasi
• Varuna Lingam (West) – Makaram, Kumbham Rasi
• Vayu Lingam (North West) – Kadakam Rasi
• Kubera Lingam (North) – Dhanushu, Meenam Rasi
• Esanya Lingam (North East) – Mithunam, Kanni Rasi

Many of the devotees worship Lord Narasimha with great reverence at homes and in temples, while some observe fast until dusk, on the day of his advent. It is firmly believed that offering prayers to this Lord can bestow one with a variety of benefits like mitigating sins, curing diseases, warding off negative influences of planets and also evil forces, fulfillment of honest desires in respect of longevity, wealth, success, etc. and leading towards liberation.

சங்கடம் தீர்க்கும் சக்கரத்தாழ்வார் 

சக்கரத்தாழ்வார் சிறப்புக்கள்

திருமாலின் கையில் இருக்கும் சக்கரம் இருப்பதைப் பார்த்தீருப்போம் .ஆனால் அந்த சக்கரம் யாரு?ன்னு நிறைய பேருக்கு தெரிந்திருக்காது .அந்த சக்கரம் யாரு? அதன் மகிமை என்ன?

சக்கரத்தாழ்வார்,

சுதர்சனர்,

சக்கரராஜன்,

நேமி,

திகிரி,

ரதாங்கம்,

சுதர்சனாழ்வான்,

திருவாழிஆழ்வான் என்று பல்வேறு நாமங்களால் போற்றப்படும் சுதர்சன சக்கரமே சக்கரத்தாழ்வாராகும்.

மகாவிஷ்ணுவின் கைகளில் பல்வேறு விதமான ஆயுதங்கள் இருந்தாலும் பெரும்பாலான கோயில்கள், திவ்ய தேசங்களில் சங்கும், சக்கரமும் ஏந்திய திருக்கோலத்தில்தான் காட்சியளிப்பார். ‘சங்கொடு சக்கரம் ஏந்தும் தடக்கையன்’ என்று திருப்பாவையில் திருமாலை பாடுகிறார் ஆண்டாள்.

திருமாலை எப்போதும் தாங்கிக்கொண்டிருக்கும் ஆதிசேஷனை அனந்தாழ்வான் என்றும், வாகனமான கருடனை கருடாழ்வார் என்றும், நம்மாழ்வார் ஞானம் பெற்ற புளியமரத்தை திருப்புளியாழ்வான் என்றும், மகாவிஷ்ணுவின் பஞ்ச ஆயுதங்களில் முதன்மையான சக்கரத்தை திருவாழிஆழ்வான் எனும் சக்கரத்தாழ்வான் என வைணவ சாஸ்திரங்களும், சில்பரத்தினம் என்ற நூலும் தெரிவிக்கிறது.

பெருமாள் கோயில்களில்

பொதுவாக, 8 அல்லது 16 கரங்களுடன் வீறு கொண்டு எழும் தோற்றத்துடன் அறுகோண சக்கரத்தில் சக்கரத்தாழ்வார் காட்சி தருவார்.‘ஷட்கோண சக்கரம்’ என்னும் ஆறுகோணத்தின் மத்தியில் உக்கிர வடிவ சுதர்சனரும், ‘திரிகோண சக்கரம்’ எனும் முக்கோணத்தில் யோக நரசிம்மரும் அருள்பாலிக்கின்றனர்.

சுதர்சனர் தனது திருக்கரங்களில் சக்கரம், மழு, ஈட்டி, தண்டு, அங்குசம்,அக்னி, கத்தி, வேல், சங்கம், வில், பாசம், கலப்பை, வஜ்ரம், கதை, உலக்கை, சூலம் என 16 கைகளில் 16 வகையான ஆயுதங்களுடன் மகா சுதர்சன மூர்த்தியாக காட்சி தருகிறார்.

சுதர்சனர் வழிபாடு மிகவும் சிறப்பானதாக கூறப்படுகிறது. அழிக்க முடியாத பகையை அழித்து, நீக்க முடியாத பயத்தை நீக்க வல்லவர் சுதர்சன மூர்த்தி.

மனிதனுக்கு பெரும்பாலான பாதிப்புகளுக்கு மூல காரணமாக இருப்பவை ருணம், ரோகம், சத்ரு எனப்படும் கடன், வியாதி, எதிரி ஆகியவைதான். அவற்றை அழித்து மனஅமைதியை தருகிறார் சுதர்சன மூர்த்தி.

கல்வி தொடர்பான தடைகளை நீக்கி சரளமான கல்வி யோகத்தை அருள்வார்.

கெட்ட கனவுகள், மன சஞ்சலம், சித்த பிரமை, பேய், பிசாசு, பில்லி, சூனியம், ஏவல் போன்ற மனம் தொடர்பான பாதிப்புகள், தொந்தரவுகளில் இருந்தும் விடுபடச் செய்வார்.

ஜாதகத்தில் 6, 8, 12&ம் அதிபதிகளின் திசைகள், புதன், சனி திசை நடப்பவர்கள் ஸ்ரீசுதர்சனரை வழிபட்டால் கிரக தோஷத்தில் இருந்து விடுபடலாம்.

சனி கிழமைகளில் சக்கரத்தாழ்வாருக்கு துளசி சாற்றி, துளசியால் அர்ச்சனை செய்து 12, 24, 48 முறை வலம் வந்து வழிபட்டால் பிரார்த்தனைகள், வேண்டுதல்கள் நிறைவேறும். நம்மை சூழ்ந்திருக்கும் துன்பங்கள், தடை, தடங்கல்கள் எல்லாம் விலகி நல்வழி கிடைக்கும் என்பது நம்பிக்கை.

சந்தோஷம் தருபவர் சக்கரத்தாழ்வார்

திருமாலின் வலக்கையை அலங்கரிக்கும் சக்கர ஆயுதமே சக்கரத்தாழ்வார். இவர் திருமாலுக்கு இணையானவர் என்று வேதாந்த தேசிகர் கூறுகிறார். இவர் திருவாழியாழ்வான், சக்கரராஜன், நேமி, திகிரி, ரதாங்கம், சுதர்சன ஆழ்வார் என்றெல்லாம் பல பெயர்களால் அழைக்கப்படுபவர். திருமால் கோவில்களில் சக்கரத்தாழ்வாருக்குத் தனிச் சன்னதி உண்டு. இவர் பதினாறு, முப்பத்திரண்டு என்ற எண்ணிக்கைகளில் கைகளை உடையவர்.

பெரியாழ்வார் `சோதி வலத்துறையும் சுடராழியும் பல்லாண்டு’ என வாழ்த்திப் பாடியுள்ளார். திருமாலுக்கு இணையானவர் என்று எழுதிய சுவாமி தேசிகன், சுதர்சனாஷ்டகத்தில் சக்கரத்தாழ்வாரைப் பலவாறும் போற்றியுள்ளார்.

பெருமாள் கையை அலங்கரிப்பவர்

சங்கு, சக்கர, கதாபாணியான பெருமாளின் கரங்களில் எப்போதும் வலக்கையிலேயே இடம் பெற்று இருப்பவர் சக்கரத்தாழ்வார். ஆனால் சில இடங்களில் மாறுபட்டும் அமைந்திருப்பது உண்டு.

நவகிரக தோஷம் நீங்க

சிவன் கோயில்களில் மட்டுமே நவகிரக வழிபாடு உண்டு. அவ்வழிபாடுகளினால் பக்தர்கள் தங்கள் தோஷங்களை நீக்கிக்கொள்வார்கள். விஷ்ணு கோவில்களில் உள்ள சக்கரத்தாழ்வார் வழிபாடும் நவகிர தோஷங்களை நீக்கும் என்பது ஐதீகம். சக்கரத்தாழ்வார் சன்னதியில் நெய் தீபம் ஏற்றி, `

ஓம் நமோ பகவதே மகா சுதர்சனாய நம’

என்ற மந்திரம் சொன்னால் நவகிரக தோஷங்கள் விரைவில் நீங்கிவிடும் என்பது நம்பிக்கை.

மேலும் திருமணமாகாதவர்களுக்கு விரைவில் திருமணம் கூடும் என்பதும் ஐதீகம். இந்த சுதர்சனருக்கு உகந்த நாள் வியாழன் மற்றும் சனிக்கிழமை. அன்று அவருக்கு சிவப்பு மலர்களால் மாலை சூட்டி வழிபட்டால் நினைத்த நல்ல காரியங்களில் வெற்றி கிட்டும் என்றும் நம்பிக்கை உள்ளது.

சக்கரத்தாழ்வார் எதிரிக்கு எதிரி

சிசுபாலனின் தாய்க்கு அளித்த வாக்கின்படி, சிசுபாலனின் தவறை நூறு முறை மன்னித்துவிட்டார் கிருஷ்ணர். அவனது நூற்றியோராவது தவறைக் கண்டு கொதித்த சுதர்சன சக்கரம் சீறி எழுந்து பெருமாளின் எதிரியான சிசுபாலனை அழித்தது.

மகாபாரத யுத்தத்தின்போது, ஜயத்ரதனை வெல்ல இயலாத நிலையில் பெருமாளின் சக்கரம் வானில் சுழன்று எழுந்து சூரியனை மறைத்தது. அதனால் குருஷேத்திரமே இருண்டது. இதனால் ஜயத்ரதன் ஒழிக்கப்பட்டு, மகாபாரத வெற்றிக்கு வித்திடப்பட்டது.

கஜேந்திர மோட்சம் என்ற புராணக் கதையில், யானையின் காலைப் பிடித்துக்கொண்ட மகேந்திரன் என்ற முதலையை சீவித் தள்ளி, கஜேந்திரனைக் காப்பாற்றியது சுதர்சன சக்கரமே.

பக்தர்களுக்குத் துன்பம் ஏற்பட்டால், பெருமாளுக்கே இடையூறு ஏற்பட்டாற்போல் விரைந்து காப்பவர் சக்கரத்தாழ்வார் என இவை நிரூபிக்கின்றன.

பக்தர்களுக்கு சந்தோஷம் தருபவர்

பக்தர்களுக்கு வரும் பகையை அழித்து, உள்ளார்ந்த பயத்தை போக்கிக் காப்பவர் சுதர்சனர். மனிதனின் நிம்மதியை பாதிப்பவை கடன், வியாதி, எதிரி தரும் துன்பம் இவற்றை முற்றிலும் நீக்கி சந்தோஷத்தை அளிப்பவர். இவர் கல்வியில் தடையை நீக்கி இடைவிடாது தொடரும் கல்வி யோகத்தைத் தருபவர் என்பது நம்பிக்கை.

சக்கரத்தாழ்வாரை சனிக்கிழமைகளில் தரிசிக்க வாழ்வு வளம் கூடும். கோவை இடையர்பாளையத்தில் அமைந்துள்ள குருவருள் சாயி பாபா கோயில் வளாகத்தில் அருள்பாலிக்கும் சக்கரத்தாழ்வார் பொன்னையும் பொருளையும் மட்டுமல்ல திருமண வரத்தையும் வாரி வழங்குபவர். `சங்கோடு சக்கரம் ஏந்தும் தடக்கையன்’ என்று பெருமாளுடன் அவரது சக்கரத்திற்கும் சேர்த்தே ஏற்றம் தருகிறாள் ஆண்டாள்.

நன்மைகள் கிடைக்க சக்கரத்தாழ்வார்

தெய்வங்களில் சிறப்புடைய தெய்வம் மகாவிஷ்ணு. அவர் ஸ்ரீமன் நாராயணன் ஆவார். உலகம் அனைத்தையும் படைத்து காத்து தன்பால் அடக்கி கொள்ளவும் ஆற்றல் படைத்தவர் மகாவிஷ்னு. அவரின் பெருமையை 18 புராணங்களிலும் சிறக்கப்பேசுகின்றார்கள். மகாவிஷ்னுக்கு சிறந்த ஆயுதங்களாக போற்றப்படுபவை 5 ஆயுதங்களாகும். அவை சங்கு, சக்கரம், கெதை, வில், கத்தி இவற்றை ஐம்படை என்று கூறுவார்கள்.

படை என்ற சொல்லுக்கு ஆயுதம் என்று பொருள். இந்த ஐந்தாம் படையை கொண்டு பகவான் ஸ்ரீமன் நாராயணன் தீயவர்களை அழித்து நல்லவர்களை காப்ëபாற்றிவருகிறார் இந்த ஐந்து ஆயுதங்களில் சிறப்புடையது சக்கரமாகும். இந்த சக்கரத்திற்கு ஆழ்வார் என்று அடைமொழி சேர்த்து சக்கரத்தாழ்வார் என்று வைணவம் சிறப்பித்து பேசுகிறது.

சக்கரத்தாழ்வாருக்கு சுதர்ஷனம் என்ற மற்றொரு பெயரும் உண்டு. அந்த சுதர்ஷனனை பற்றி சுதர்ஷன சதகம் என்று 100 பாடல்கள் அடங்கிய ஒரு நூல் ஒரு பெரியவரால் பாடப்பட்டுள்ளது. ஒவ்வொரு பாடலும் சக்கரத்தாழ்வாரின் பெருமையை அப்பெரியவர் பல சான்றுகளுடன் விளக்கியும் கூறியுள்ளார் அந்த நூலை நாம் தினந்தோறும் படித்தால் குறைகள் எல்லாம் நீங்கும்.

நன்மைகள் பல உண்டாகும் என்றும் அப்பெரியவர் கூறியுள்ளார். கஜேந்திர மோட்சம், அம்பரிகன் வரலாறு, ஆகியவை எல்லாம் சக்கரத்தாழ்வாரின் பெருமையையும் ஏகாதசி விரதத்தின் உயர்வையும் கூறுகின்றன. அந்த சுதர்ஷன சதகம் அதுபோன்ற சுதர்ஷன சதக நாமம் ஆகிய நூல்களை நாமும் பாராயணம் செய்தோமானால் நலம் பல பெறலாம். குறைகள் நீங்கும். கிரக தோஷம் விடுபடும்.

ஆகவே ஆழ்வார்கள் பண்ணிரென்டு பேர்களும் மிகவும் போற்றி புகழப்பெற்ற சக்கரத்தாழ்வாரின் பெருமையை கோதை நாச்சியார் (ஆண்டாள்) ஆழிமழை கண்ணா என்கின்ற திருப்பாவை பாடல்கள் மூலமாக சிறப்பித்து பாடியுள்ளார். தமிழில் அமைந்த ‘ழ’ என்ற எழுத்தின் பெருமையை இந்த பாடல்கள் மூலமாக சிறப்பித்து பேசியுள்ளார்கள்.

ஆகவே ஆழிமழை கண்ணா என்ற பாசுரத்தை நாமும் பாராயணம் செய்வோமானால் நாட்டில் மழை பொழியும், வளம் பெருகும், தீமைகள் அகலும் மேன்மேலும் நன்மைகள் உண்டாகும். இப்படிப்பட்ட சிறப்பு வாய்ந்த சக்கரத்தாழ்வார் திருத்தலம்

கோவை மாவட்டம், கோவை டவுன், தடாகம் ரோடு  டி.வி. எஸ். நகர் மேற்கில் இடையர்பாளையம் ஸ்ரீ ஷீர்டி சாயி குருவருள் திருக்கோயில் வளாகத்தில் அரசமரத்திற்கு அருகில் அமைந்துள்ளது.

கிழக்கு முகமாக சக்கரத்தாழ்வாரும், மேற்கு முகமாக ஆஞ்சநேயரும் ஒரே கல்லில் அமைந்துள்ளது இத்திருத்தலத்தின் சிறப்பாகும். இப்படியொரு சிறப்பிற்குரிய சக்கரத்தாழ்வாரை நாமும் வழிபடுவோம்.

சக்கரத்தாழ்வாரை தினமும் தொடர்ந்து வணங்கி வழிபட்டு வந்தால் கீழ்வரும் பலன்கள் கிடைக்கும். கண்ணுக்கு தெரிந்த, தெரியாத எதிரிகள் எல்லோரும் கூண்டோடு அழிந்து போவர். இவரை எவரும் எதிர்க்க மாட்டார்கள். அனைவரும் இவர்கள் மேல் அன்பைப் பொழிவார்கள்.

ஏதாவது ஒரு காரணத்தினால் மனதில் எப்போதாவது பயம் தோன்றினால் இவர் மந்திரங்களைச் சொல்வதன் மூலம் அந்தப்ப பயமானது இல்லாது அழிந்து ஒழிந்து போகும். கடுமையான தீர்க்க முடியாத வியாதிகள் உள்ளவர்கள் இவரை எண்ணித் துதித்து வந்தால் அந்த வியாதிகள் குணமாகும்.

வறுமையினால் பாதிக்கப்பட்டு ஒருவர் துக்கத்தை அடைந்திருந்தால் இவர் வழிபாட்டின் மூலமாக வறுமை ஒழிந்து, ஏழ்மை அழிந்து, செல்வம் குவியும். எதிர்பாராத பட்டங்களும், பதவிகளும் இவர்களைத் தேடி வரும். திருமணம் நடைபெறுவதில் சிக்கல்கள் இருந்தாலோ, பிறரின் தலையீட்டினால் பாதிப்புகள் ஏற்பட்டிருந்தாலோ அவை எல்லாம் நீங்கித் திருமணம் நல்ல முறையில் நடைபெறும்.

நோயாலோ, விபத்தாலோ, நஞ்சாலோ, பகைவரின் அச்சுறுத்தாலோ விளைந்திருக்கும் மரண பயம் அகலும். புத்தியில் தெளிவு உண்டாகும். ஞான வைராக்கியம் பிறக்கும்.

மகாவிஷ்ணுவின் கைகளில் பல்வேறு ஆயுதங்கள் இருக்கின்றன .அவர் வலது கையில் இருக்கும் ஆயுதமான ஸ்ரீ சக்கரம் மிகவும் முக்கியமானது .

சக்கரம் என்பது சக்கரத்தாழ்வாரை குறிப்பதாகும் .பகைவர்களை அழிக்கும் ஆயுதமாக சக்கரத்தாழ்வார் விளங்குகிறார் .

சக்கரத்தாழ்வாருக்கு ஸ்ரீ சுதர்சனர் ,ஸ்ரீ சக்கரம் ,திகிரி ,ஸ்ரீ சக்கரம் ,திருவாழியாழ்வான் எனும்

திருநாமங்கள் உண்டு .ஸ்ரீ சுதர்சனர் என்பதற்கு நல்வழி காட்டுபவர் என்று பொருள். சுதர்சனம் மங்களமானது .

சக்கரத்தாழ்வார் பின்னால் நரசிம்மர் இருப்பது ஏன்?

திருமாலின் கையிலுள்ள சக்கரத்தை சக்கரத்தாழ்வார் என்பர். பக்தர்களின் துன்பம் தீர்க்க  திருமாலால் ஏவப்படும்  ஆயுதம் இது. சக்கரத்தை வழிபட்டால் துன்பம் உடனடியாக நீங்கும் என்பது ஐதீகம். பக்தனான பிரகலாதனைக் காக்க திருமால் நரசிம்மராக அவதரித்தார். தாயின் கருவில் இருந்து வராததால், இந்த அவதாரத்தை அவசரத் திருக்கோலம் என்பர். நாளை என்பது நரசிம்மனுக்கு கிடையாது என்று  குறிப்பிடுவர். துன்பத்தில் இருந்து விடுபட்டு உடனடியாக நற்பலன் உண்டாக  சக்கரத்தையும், நரசிம்மரையும் ஒருசேர வழிபடுவது சிறப்பு.  இதன் அடிப்படையில் கோவில்களில் சக்கரத்தாழ்வாரையும், நரசிம்மரையும் முன்னும் பின்னுமாக வைத்து சன்னிதி எழுப்புவர்.

This is the story of how Vishnu’s Sudarshana Chakra came into existence. The asuras, or demons, were extremely bad. They always tortured the cosmic gods. At one time, the cosmic gods were suffering so much from the attacks of the demons that they went to see Lord Vishnu. They wanted to seek his help in defeating the demons.

Vishnu said to them, “I do not have enough power to defeat or destroy the demons. I must seek help from Shiva. I will ask him to give me a special weapon that will help me defeat the demons.”

When Vishnu went to Shiva, he found Lord Shiva in trance. Vishnu did not want to disturb Shiva’s meditation, so he started praying and praying to Shiva with the hope that one day he would come out of his trance.

Every day, for years and years, Vishnu prayed to Shiva, meditated on Shiva and chanted Shiva’s name very devotedly. He offered one thousand lotus blossoms to Shiva every day. Each time he offered Shiva a lotus blossom, he would chant Shiva’s name.

This went on for such a long time and still Shiva remained rapt in trance. Poor Vishnu was helpless! The gods were being mercilessly tortured by the demons and he was unable to save them.

Finally, after many long years, Shiva came out of his trance. Vishnu’s joy knew no bounds. He ran to gather one thousand lotus blossoms so that he could worship Lord Shiva and ask for a special boon.

Shiva had already decided that he would grant Vishnu the boon, but first he wanted to play a trick on Vishnu. He secretly went to the spot where Vishnu had placed the lotus flowers and stole one flower. Now there were only 999 flowers.

After making all his preparations, Vishnu began to worship Shiva most devotedly. One by one, he offered the lotus flowers and chanted Shiva’s name. When he came to the end, he realized that one flower was missing. He had only counted 999. That meant he had to go and find one more lotus. Instead of doing that, he immediately plucked out one of his eyes and placed it before Shiva.

When Shiva saw that Vishnu had such devotion for him, he said, “I will grant you anything that you ask for.”

“Please give me something that will help me to conquer the asuras,” said Vishnu.

Shiva replied, “I give you this round disc. It will help you to conquer all your enemies. No matter how many demons come to attack you and the other gods, you will be able to defeat them all with this disc.”

The name of the disc was the Sudarshana Chakra. When Lord Krishna took incarnation, Vishnu gave him this chakra, because Krishna was the embodiment of Vishnu. Krishna could immediately use the chakra at any time; it was his own property. The Sudarshana Chakra is not thrown. With will-power it is sent against the enemy. It rotates very, very fast after leaving the finger and chases the enemy. The chakra itself is round and has something like the points of arrows all around its edge. It has tremendous occult and spiritual power to destroy everything. Nobody can stand against the Sudarshana Chakra.

Narasimha Avatara is the fifth re-incarnation of Lord Vishnu. As Narashimha, He destroyed the demon king Hiranyakashiyapu, the father of Baktha

Sudarshana and Narasimha are one and the same as two faces of a coin. Both deities benefit the entire human kind by their blessings.

Sudarshana Ashtakam:

(Sudarshana is the holy wheel which Lord Vishnu uses as his chief weapon. There is a story that the daughter of Viswa Karma, who was the architect of the God’s, was married to the sun God and she left him because of his immense heat. It seems Viswa Karma put Sun God in a cage and churned him to reduce his heat. The heat was reduced and Sudarshana Chakra, Trishoola and Shakthi, respectively the weapons of Lord Vishnu, Shiva and Subrhamnya were born out of the churning. When the-then President of the United States of America revealed the contents of his pockets, there was a gasp of surprise at the recording studio. Nestled among the many totems was a miniature statue of the popular Hindu deity, Hanuman. “If I feel tired, or I feel discouraged sometimes, I can kind of reach into my pocket and say yeah, that’s something I can overcome…” explained Barack Obama on the interesting array of totems.

There are many devotees of Hanuman all the world over who worship this magnificent one in many forms. One of the much-revered forms is the powerful Lord Panchmukhi Hanuman. Five faces staring in different directions, often holding the spectator in awe. The Panchmukhi Hanuman or the Panchamukhi Anjaneya Swamy is believed to be one of his virat (gigantic) forms. Some even believe that there are two forms of Shri Panchmukhi Hanuman. Five majestic faces all belonging to Hanuman is one form while the second is the more popular one. Five majestic faces, each belonging to different gods:

• Lord Hanuman: He faces eastwards with steadfast devotion. Worshipping Hanuman helps one to get rid of one’s sins and bestows peace, purity, happiness, and fulfillment.
• Lord Narasimha: One of the many avatars of Lord Vishnu, this lion form is south facing. Lord Vishnu took this form to protect his devotee, Prahlada. Worshipping Narasimha removes fear. Fearlessness and victory are the blessings showered on the devotee.
• Lord Garuda: Facing west, the Garuda or eagle is part of the Panchmukhi Hanuman manifestation. He offers protection from negative influences, black magic, and evil spirits.
• Lord Adivaraha: The boar is another manifestation and is believed to remove the bad effects of planetary movements. Facing the north, Varaha bestows wealth and prosperity.
• Lord Hayagriva: The form of the horse faces upward, blessing one with knowledge, progeny and liberation.

The Lord Panchmukhi Hanuman is magnificent and awe-inspiring. This form arose at the time in patala when Vayu Putra Hanuman was charged with the responsibility of saving Lord Ram’s life. Little wonder that this form is endowed with many weapons like the parashu (battle axe), chakra (disc), gada (mace), trishul (trident) and the khanda (sword).

Naga Pratishta Naga (snake) Pratishta (establishment) is commonly done in India to get rid of ‘Naga Dosha’ – an Indian term that refers to issues concerned with fertility, child birth or other ill omen relating to the child’s future. The only ironic thing is that this is predicted by Astrologers! In this particular Naga Pratishta there are four snakes. The one on the left is a 7 headed snake (adi-shesha or sheshnag). The middle 5-headed snake has an idol of Subramanya (considered the god of snakes) below its hood. On the right there are two snakes intertwined with a Shiva Linga in the middle.

People who have misused money, political power, temple administration power, indulged in illicit activities inside temple premises, performed robbery/theft of Lord’s clothing, jewellery or other items, will take birth as a dog and suffer their entire life in the temple premises to repay the debt (Ref. Garudapurana). If people have such curse (doshas) in their horoscope, a simple way to get rid of them is by donating to temple construction/ renovation.

Usage of funds collected by temple construction/renovation for personal purposes will result in such people taking birth as monkeys in their next birth as stated in Garudapurana. If anyone has performed such mistakes knowingly/unknowingly in this present birth, the best opportunity to avoid this curse(dosha) is to donate generously for temple construction/renovation.

Similarly, as described in Garudapurana if any temple officials/workers have utilized the Materials, food grains or other items belonging to temple for their own personal use, they will take next 10 future births as a beggar(bikshuka). The children who fail to take care of their parents or the ones who fail to live life alongside their parents will be subjected to the ancestral curse (Pithrudevatha Shaapa). In some cases, due to Inter-caste marriages, there will be confusions regarding the worship of their ancestral deities and hence, the traditions will be discontinued. Those who have used unethical ways to capture an ancestral property/belonging, will suffer loss of wealth and happiness in all their future births. If such people donate to temple construction/renovation activities, they can get rid of these curses (doshas)

Donating Money for Temple Construction as per Shrimad Bhagwat Puranas

It has been described in the ancient scriptures of ‘Manushruthi’ and ‘Dharmasindhu’ that, the one who offers financial aid ,donations or service for the construction of temple will enjoy all sorts of wealth such as own house, vehicle, best employment opportunities, etc in all the future births to follow.

Lord himself has said in ‘Shrimadh Bhagavatha’ that for every single rupee of money or service offered by a person will earn him money back in multiples of thousands or lakhs. Hence, it is said in these scriptures that, people who do not provide any help for the construction of temples will suffer problems such as living in a rented house or living their entire life in other’s captivity.

In the Srimad Bhagavatam we find the following verse: offering donations to install the Deity of the Lord, to construct or renovate the temple one goes to the abode of Lord Vishnu after his death (attains Moksha).

A person who donates to a temple for construction or renovation so many thousands of years will he/She be able to reside in the heavenly planets.

“Whoever constructs or donates to construct a temple will protect eight generations of fathers, grandfathers, and forefathers from falling into hell.” one can attain the eternal spiritual world (Vaikunta). One can attain heavenly pleasures. This is known as ‘Ajnata sukriti’, which means pious credit acquired unknowingly.

In the Skanda Purana there is the following verse: “Just by donating for the construction or renovation of a temple will wipe all the sins which are committed in seven births and it will deliver to his forefathers who are suffering in the hellish planets.”
